Muscat: Oman bans entry to Khor Kharfoot Archaeological Reserve in Dhofar Governorate without prior permission. This was informed by the Environment Authority. It is stated that prior permissions are mandatory. The action was taken in accordance with the laws of the country related to nature conservation areas.
Entering the Khorfuth Archaeological Reserve without prior permission is a punishable offence, the authority said. Such permits are issued only under special circumstances and are issued by the Directorate General of Environment in Dhofar Governorate.
Khor Kharfut Archaeological Reserve is located between Rakhayut and Dalkhut provinces.
