According to the WHO, an estimated 5.4 million people are bitten by snakes each year and 2.7 million of them suffer envenomation. Envenomation can also be caused by hymenoptera (hornets, wasps), spiders, scorpions, centipedes or the bite of marine animals (jellyfish, sea urchins, fish). What to do in case of sting or bite?
