Once once more the Metropolitan Presidential Delegation decreed an Environmental Alert for this Saturday in the Metropolitan region.
According to what was reported this Friday, the air quality is in poor condition, due to the terrible ventilation situation, something that would continue this Saturday.
“Given the unfavorable weather conditions in the Santiago basin and in order to protect the health of the region’s inhabitants, the Presidential Delegation of the Metropolitan Region -on the recommendation of the Seremi del Medio Ambiente RM- declares preventively for this SATURDAY, July 15, 2023, ENVIRONMENTAL ALERT, in the Santiago Metropolitan Region, the authority indicated in a statement.
Given this, the public was called upon to respect the measures such as the prohibition of lighting wood-burning heaters and derivatives in the entire Metropolitan region, as well as not carrying out agricultural burnings.
It should be remembered that since it is a weekend there is no vehicle restriction.
