Epic Games has suspended “commercial relations with Russia”

Epic Games announced the end of “commercial relations with Russia” in the gaming space. The company has not yet shared the details of its decision, but it is known for sure that games already purchased by users will continue to work.

The company reported in twitterthat stops “commercial relations with Russia” in their games in response to the Ukrainian events. “We do not block access for the same reason that other means of communication remain online: the free world must keep all lines of dialogue open”the company also said.

According to Russian users of the company’s services, at the moment there are no changes: the Epic Games Store continues to operate as before, all games remain available, as well as in-game stores – the company has not even adjusted the ruble price tags yet. There are suggestions that restrictive measures will not be introduced immediately. The companies also asked what will happen to Russian developers who use the Unreal Engine, but there has been no answer yet.
