Since two weeks, the circulation of the virus has resumed more beautiful. In Haute-Garonne, the epidemiological indicators have gone back into the red. The number of cases passes the bar of 7,000 cases
Undeniably, the number of cases has increased significantly since last week. A bad timing, while the health pass and mask wearing have just been lifted. Who are most affected?
While the oldest people have accumulated the highest number of cases in recent weeks, these are 30-39 year olds who are now the most affected by the virus. Their incidence amounts to 1,134 cases against barely 723 last week. A meteoric rise which is also witnessed by the 40-43 years oldfrom 752 to 1,129 cases. Below the 1,000 case mark the 10-19 year olds (948 cases) and the 50-59 year olds are positioned. All other age groups vary between 889 cases for 0-9 year olds and 754 cases for 70-79 year olds.

Hospital tension continues
Despite the dramatic increase in the number of cases, the situation remains under control in hospital. Situated at 30%, hospital blood pressure remained the same as last week, according to the Covid Tracker. As a reminder, if this rate is greater than 100%, then Covid-19 patients occupy more intensive care beds than there were before the epidemic. On March 27, the last census date, the department had 434 hospitalized patients including 49 in intensive care. Health facilities have on average a daily death. In addition, the trend has reversed concerning the flow to the hospital. There are now more exits (18.1) than admissions (15.6).
