[Sing Tao Daily reported]As the sewage sample discharged from the building tested positive for the new coronavirus, it was suspected that there were invisible patients in the building, and the government enclosed De Yu Building and De Pei Building in Delang Village, Kowloon City for forced inspection.

The Government cites the Prevention and Control of Disease (Compulsory Testing of Certain Persons) Regulation (Cap. 599J) to make a restriction and testing declaration, restricting it to the designated “restricted area” in Kowloon City (i.e. Kowloon City Delong) from 1:00 p.m. Persons in Tak Pui House, Village) are required to stay on their premises and undergo compulsory testing. The government’s goal is to complete the operation at about 12 noon tomorrow, and the operation may be extended depending on the test results. The government will set up temporary sampling stations in “restricted areas” and require those tested to be tested before 8 pm today.

In addition, the Government also invoked the Prevention and Control of Disease (Compulsory Testing of Certain Persons) Regulation (Cap. 599J) today to make a restriction and testing declaration, restricting the designated “restricted areas” in Kowloon City from 1 pm ( Those in Tak Yu House, Tak Long Estate, Kowloon City) must stay on their premises and undergo compulsory testing. The government’s goal is to complete the operation at about 9 a.m. tomorrow. Depending on the test results, the operation may be extended. The government will set up temporary sampling stations in “restricted areas” and require those tested to be tested before 8 pm today.

A government spokesman said that under Chapter 599J, the government can make restrictions and test declarations according to the needs of epidemic prevention. Since the sewage samples discharged from the above-mentioned buildings were tested positive for the new crown virus, it was suspected that there were invisible patients in the buildings, and after evaluation, the risk of infection in the relevant areas was higher.

Anyone who has been in the above-mentioned buildings for more than two hours between the 20th of last month and today, even if they were not in the “restricted area” when the “relevant declaration” came into effect, must undergo mandatory testing on or before March 7th . As a mutated virus strain is involved, it is prudent that people who have been vaccinated and who have been tested recently are still required to be tested.
