Erdogan called on Putin to establish a just peace in Ukraine

On Friday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the earthquake that struck southern Turkey and northern Syria, and the war in Ukraine.

According to a statement issued by the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidency, Erdogan expressed his thanks to Putin for his country’s solidarity with Turkey in the earthquake that it was exposed to.

On the war in Ukraine, which has completed its first year, Erdogan called for a just peace without further loss of life and destruction as a result of the war.

The Turkish president renewed his country’s readiness to do everything in its power to achieve an agreement between Russia and Ukraine that would end the war.
