Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was confirmed in office by a narrow margin on Sunday. After around 95 percent of the votes counted, the result for Erdogan levels off at 52 percent compared to 48 percent for the challenger Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. While the Anadolu state agency initially saw Ajansi Erdoğan at 56 percent and the opposition-related agency Anka Kılıçdaroğlu at 51 percent, the numbers converged over the course of the evening. After Erdoğan had also passed Kılıçdaroğlu at Anka, it was actually clear that Erdoğan would end up in the lead.
