The partnership aims to accelerate the delivery of AI-powered solutions tailored to the specific needs of Saudi Arabia’s public safety sector. Specialized by stc will contribute its localized expertise and understanding of the Saudi market, while Ericsson will provide its advanced technological capabilities in AI and mission-critical networks.
This collaboration builds upon a broader, five-year agreement between stc Group and Ericsson, signed in 2025, to accelerate 5G and digital infrastructure development across Saudi Arabia. That earlier agreement signaled a commitment to bolstering the Kingdom’s digital transformation, with a particular emphasis on expanding and upgrading network infrastructure. The current MoU represents a focused application of that broader strategy to the public safety domain.
The initiative was highlighted at the World Defence Expo 2026, where both companies showcased advancements in mission-critical communications.
