New York: India’s Arjun Erigaysi once morest world number one Magnus Carlsen in the Julius Baer Generation Cup final. The 19-year-old Erigeysi secured a ticket to the final following beating Vietnam’s Liam Quang Le in the semi-finals. Carlson defeated Germany’s Vincent Keimer 3-1.

Malappuram: The 59th State Senior FIDE Rated Chess Championship organized by the Chess Association of Malappuram will be held at Kottakal on September 29 and 30 and October 1 and 2, officials said.
