Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag revealed the possibility of Christian Eriksen participating with the team for the first time in two months, through the match against Everton, while Luke Shaw continues to be absent due to injury.

Ten Hag was initially afraid of Eriksen’s absence from the stadiums until the end of the season, after he was injured due to a strong tackle from Reading striker Andy Carroll, in the match that ended with Manchester’s 3/1 victory in the FA Cup at the end of last January.

Ten Hag reiterated his dissatisfaction with the intervention that injured Eriksen in the ankle, but the Danish player recovered faster than expected and will be included in the squad for the match against Everton on Saturday night in the English Premier League.
“I was very angry about the tackle,” Ten Hag said. “It was a really bad tackle and it was a bad injury.” He added, “We were afraid that we would miss the player all season, but he worked very well and the medical staff did a good job. The schedule got ahead of something, so we are very happy.”
“He will indeed return to the squad and will be available for the final stages of the season, and we are very happy about that,” Ten Hag said in statements published by the British news agency “BA Media”. Eriksen will enhance Ten Hag’s options, but the absence of fellow midfielder Casemiro continues, as he spends the last match of the four-match ban, and Luke Shaw is absent due to injury.

Ten Hag did not mention Shaw’s injury, which he suffered during the match against Brentford, but confirmed the absence of the English defender from the match against Everton.
