The musician from the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden showed an appealing performance at the first ESC semi-final in Turin on Tuesday evening and made it with his Song «Boys Do Cry» the jump to the final.

17 countries competed in the colorful show, 10 qualified for the final round.

The broadcasters have not yet published how well the 29-year-old was received by the audience and jury. The fact that Switzerland was named as the very first country to qualify for Saturday’s final says nothing about how many points Marius Bear won in today’s semi-final.

The reason: It could affect the voting on the evening of the final if the ratings from the two preliminary rounds were known in advance. The ten finalists are therefore named in random order.

The 10 finalists
