ESN SoftwareOne Acquisition: Latest Updates and Offers from Bain Capital and Apax Partners

2023-10-16 20:50:05

Bain Capital and Apax Partners have each submitted a non-binding purchase offer this week to acquire the Swiss ESN SoftwareOne, according to the Archyde.com news agency.

As a reminder, SoftwareOne has already rejected two unsolicited purchase offers from Bain Capital last summer. The board of directors of Stans’ company has begun a strategic review following a third unsolicited and non-binding offer from Bain Capital to acquire 100% of ESN.

As a reminder, SoftwareOne helps companies manage software purchases from large IT suppliers (Adobe, IBM, Microsoft, etc.). The company was listed on the stock exchange in 2019. The last few months have been a busy time for the Swiss NSE. In May, it hired a new CEO, Brian Duffy, previously president of SAP’s Cloud division. Daniel von Stockar stepped down as chairman and was replaced by Adam Warby. Finally, SoftwareOne acquired Beniva Consulting, a ServiceNow partner. In August, SoftwareOne released its financial results for the first half of 2023, with revenue up 8.5% compared to the first half of 2022, at 506.8 million Swiss francs.
