Ethics and Progressive Neurological Diseases: Exploring Time, the Body, and Emotions – Autumn University 2023

2023-07-28 08:49:11

Progressive neurological diseases – Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Lewy body diseases, multiple sclerosis, ALS, etc. – are major medical and public health issues. They also raise ethical and human questions, which lead us to re-examine the meaning, value and purpose of our actions.

How to reconcile security and freedom? How to deal with refusals of offers of assistance? How to preserve an intimate and affective life? How to accompany the end of (the) life?

These are the questions, and many others, that will be addressed by this Autumn University “Ethics and progressive neurological diseases”, intended for health and medico-social professionals as well as for sick people and their relatives, for researchers, actors of social and technological innovation, representatives of public authorities, volunteers and members of associations.
This year, the theme of the Autumn University will be Time, the body and the emotions.

It will only be accessible in person. Admission is free but registration is required, subject to availability.
