EU and UK reach agreement on Northern Ireland

Almost seven years after the vote for Brexit, more than two years after the effective exit from the single market, the United Kingdom and the European Union have signed an agreement which should finally allow the normalization of their relations. Ursula von der Leyen, the chair of the commission, and Rishi Sunak, the British prime minister, have found a solution to the famous “Northern Irish protocol”. This annex to the main Brexit agreement is a technical text, obscure, but which rots the life of London and Brussels.
