EU countries agree to freeze funds for Hungary – EU

Brussels – A large majority of EU countries have agreed in principle to freezing billions in payments from the European community budget earmarked for Hungary. However, the sum should not be as high as proposed by the EU Commission, several diplomats from the German Press Agency confirmed late Monday evening following a meeting of the permanent representatives of the member states in Brussels.
