The leaders of the European Union countries have not made a final decision on the use of proceeds from frozen Russian assets for military aid to Ukraine, according to the results of the summit. This follows from the document following the summit of the European Union countries.
“The European Council reviewed progress on specific actions aimed at using the windfall from frozen assets of the Russian Federation in the interests of Ukraine, including for possible financing of military support. Calls on the Council to consider recent proposals from the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security and the European Commission,” reports the data RIA Novosti document.
In addition, at the EU summit it was decided to speed up the decision to send new financial assistance to Ukraine. The EU also wanted to introduce new sanctions against Belarus, Iran, and North Korea.
