Euro 2024 qualifiers draw: Italy and England in a repeat of the final, France clash with the Netherlands and Spain face Halland’s companions

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The European Nations Cup 2024 European Nations Cup qualifiers draw resulted in a number of strong confrontations, as defending champion Italy will meet runner-up England, in a repeat confrontation for the 2020 final.

France collided with the Netherlands, as they fell together in the second group, while Spain awaits a difficult confrontation against Norway, with top scorer Erling Haaland, who is currently leading the scene around the world and breaking records in various competitions.

Portugal, Belgium, Croatia and Denmark are in well-balanced groups.

The groups were as follows:

The first: Spain, Scotland, Norway, Georgia, Cyprus.

The second: Holland, France, Ireland, Greece, Gibraltar.

Third: Italy, England, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Malta.

Fourth: Croatia, Wales, Armenia, Turkey, Latvia.

Fifth: Poland, Czech Republic, Albania, Faroe Islands, Moldova.

Sixth: Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Estonia.

Seventh: Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Hungary, Lithuania.

Eighth: Denmark, Finland, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Northern Ireland, San Marino.

Ninth: Switzerland, Israel, Romania, Kosovo, Belarus, Andorra.

Tenth: Portugal, Bosnia, Iceland, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Liechtenstein.

The first and second places from each group qualify directly for the Euro finals, while the remaining three teams will be decided through play-off matches.

Germany had qualified automatically as the host country, while Russia was excluded from the qualifying competitions, by a decision of the European Football Association.
