As with the 2022 World Cup, Russia will not be able to participate in Euro 2024, which will be held in Germany. Due to the war in Ukraine, the Russian selection was excluded from the tournament qualifiers by UEFA.
“The Russian national team will not take part in the qualifying draw for the European Championship 2024 which will take place in Frankfurt on October 9. The reason is the decision taken in February by UEFA to suspend national teams and Russian clubs from participating in competitions organized by the body, a decision which applies by default until further notice,” the Russian Football Federation (RFS) said in a statement.
