France completed their journey in Group D of the Euro Ladies with a draw. With a largely overhauled starting lineup, Les Bleues made it 1-1 against Iceland in Rotherham.
The French scored after just 46 seconds through Malard. Two other goals were ruled out by VAR. Iceland, which could have qualified if successful, therefore lost everything, the equalizer from the penalty spot in the 12th minute of stoppage time not enough.
Second place in the group goes to Belgium, who won 1-0 against Italy. De Caigny scored the decisive success in the 49th.
The full order of the quarter-finals is now known: England will face Spain on Wednesday in Brighton, before the Germany-Austria derby on Thursday in Brentford. In the other half of the table, Sweden will face Belgium on Friday in Wigan before the last quarter which will feature France and the Netherlands on Saturday in Rotherham.
