EXCLUSIVE FREE MIDI – A retired couple from Hérault won a colossal Euromillions jackpot in Lunel. The sum, 67 million euros, is the biggest gain ever recorded in the department.
You had to play the 3, 12, 19, 24, 30 and the stars 2 and 5 to win the jackpot. That’s what did a couple from Hérault who won the colossal sum of €67,441,797 million in the draw of January 18, said the FDJ at Midi Libre this Monday, February 21.
In addition to winning the department’s first Euromillions jackpot, the couple, who wish to remain anonymous, also sign the biggest gain ever recorded in the Hérault. They validated their grid at the Mag Presse des Portes de la Mer, on the national road 113, at Lunel.
The couple, accustomed to playing Euromillions and Loto about twice a month, may have found the secret to the winning formula: “I choose remarkable numbers of my life”indicates Isabelle* who determines herself the numbers she will play.
“I was knocked out”
For the record, Isabelle only discovers the good news a few days after the draw. It is by looking at the receipt and checking the replay that she then discovers the astronomical sum. “When I saw the sum, I was knocked outit is the case to say it”, she says amused.

With this new life that is offered to them, the couple wants in priority to help their children and take advantage of it to have fun. If the couple’s first purchase was “a very nice book bought in bookstores”, they now plan “to visit museums in Europe or even elsewhere, to buy a car and a new wardrobe” but “without overspending” they point out.
