European Central Bank sets course for interest rate hike – Finanzen & Börse

Brussels/Frankfurt – Europe’s currency watchdogs are heading for the first rate hike in eleven years. ECB President Christine Lagarde recently announced that negative interest rates in the euro area should end by the end of September 2022. In all likelihood, the Council of the European Central Bank (ECB) will set the course for rising interest rates at its external meeting this Thursday in Amsterdam.
