Turkey lead Group D by six points thanks to a 3-2 win in Latvia. Abdülkerim Bardakci (22nd), Cengiz Ünder (61st) and Irfan Kahveci (90+6th) score for the Turks, Eduards Emsis (51st) and Kristers Tobers (90+4th) even manage to equalize twice in the meantime.
Wales, on the other hand, missed the leap to first place. The Welsh lost 4-2 to Armenia at home. Daniel James (10′) puts Wales in front, but Lucas Zelarayan (19′) and Grant-Leon Ranos (30′, 66′) turn the game around. Harry Wilson (73rd) makes it exciting again, but Zelarayan (75th) puts the lid on it.
