Villarreal scored its third win in a row to top Group C with 9 points
Villarreal beat Austria Vienna 5-0, yesterday, Thursday, in the group stage of the European Conference League “Conference League”.
Villarreal opened the scoring in the first half of the match, through Alejandro Baena Rodriguez in the 18th minute, and Arnot Gruenefeld added the second goal for the yellow submarines, ending the first half with the Spanish club advancing (2-0).
In the second half of the match, Villarreal strengthened its attacking presence, and Jose Morales secured three goals for the hosts, signing a “hat-trick” (76 minutes, 80 minutes, 88 minutes, respectively).
With this victory, Villarreal reached the 9th point at the top of Group C, and Austria Vienna’s balance froze at 1 point in the last place.
