Nearly 200 foreign tourists and 75 crew members arrived at the ENAPU port terminal, aboard the modern luxury cruise ship, Hanseatic Spirit, from the European continent operated by the Cosmos shipping agency.
On Thursday, the visitors toured the center of the city, Plaza Armas, and Iquitos Boulevard. The regional governor, René Chávez, thanked the visit to the city of Iquitos, which will boost the local economy.
The boat from Amsterdam, following an 18-day trip, entered Brazil through the Amazon River, passed through the border with Colombia until it reached our country.

The Hanseatic Spirit is a luxurious expedition ship designed to navigate polar and tropical areas. She was built in 2020, she is one of the most modern in the fleet of the German company Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. She transports German-speaking passengers, who traveled from Belém do Pará (Atlantic Ocean) for 16 days until they reached Iquitos, her last destination.
