On the main Dutch futures market, the price of gas fell below 170 euros per megawatt hour on Monday, while it was still above 300 euros at the end of August. However, this price is still a multiple of what it was before the war in Ukraine.
Europe’s gas supply is a little less worrying, thanks in particular to the large deliveries of liquefied natural gas (LNG) which replace the Russian gas transported by gas pipeline. More gas is also coming from Norway, now that maintenance work has been completed there.
