European stocks recorded a mixed performance by the end of trading today, Friday, as follows:
The Stoxx 600 Index is up 0.5% at the close.
The German index, the DAX, rose by 0.7%, to be the highest gainer among European stocks at the close.
The British FTSE 100 index records a gain of only 0.4%.
The French CAC ended the day’s trading stable without any significant change.
The Spanish index IBEX is the most affected among European stocks by the end of trading, by up to 0.9%.
The Italian MIB index is down by 0.3% at the end of trading.
European stocks closed higher at the end of trading on Thursday, supported by profit reports, especially reports issued by Deutsche Bank and Barclays that eased concerns regarding the health of the banking sector, while shares of the Danish company Semcorp rose following concluding a deal with the company that operates the German Stock Exchange.
