Europeans 2024: Glucksmann targeted by a disinformation campaign linked to China

Raphaël Glucksmann’s positions in support of the Uyghur Muslim minority have not only brought him friends. Already in 2021, the MEP was sanctioned by China, which banned him from traveling to its soil. This time, a disinformation campaign on social networks, “mainly on Twitter” and “financed by Chinese actors”, would have targeted the head of the PS-Public Place list in the European elections, explained his entourage to Les Echos.

Raphaël Glucksmann “is the subject of informational maneuvers by pro-Chinese actors and coming from pro-Chinese accounts, who accuse him of being the Trojan horse of the Americans – particularly the CIA in Europe,” a source confirmed to AFP safe.
