“ZARI”, the song with which Greece and Marina Satti will compete in Eurovision 2024, was released in May and the only thing that is certain is that it reminds of… Greece.
The song and the video clip of the Greek participation were presented in an exclusive broadcast, tonight, Thursday, March 7, 2024, through the special show of ERT1 “Eurovision at a glance”, with presenters Fotis Sergoulopoulos and Jeni Melita.
It is a song that, with Marina Satti’s special tone and special interpretation, marries modern, traditional and ethnic elements, while the lyrics talk about love but also about the risks we have to take sometimes, like a dice we throw and we don’t know what it will bring us.
The music of the song “ZARI” was composed by Marina Satti, OGE, Kay Be, Nick Kodonas, Jay Stolar, Gino The Ghost and Jordan Palmer, while the lyrics are signed by VLOSPA, OGE, Marina Satti and Solmeister. The video clip was directed by the Australian Zac Wiesel.
Greece will appear in the first part of the Second Semi-Final, on May 9, 2024. The two Semi-Finals and the Grand Final of Eurovision will be commented by Thanasis Alevras and Jerome Kalouta.
Our song, “ZARI”, is in the Greek language, while there are also phrases in English. In a… genuine Greek setting, Marina Satti sings against the backdrop of emblematic spots of Athens. For the needs of the filming, the lens focuses on characteristic areas of Attica, among which Omonia, Lykavittos, “Eleftherios Venizelos” Airport.
The creative director of Marina Satti’s appearance on the Eurovision stage is Fokas Evangelinos, the choreography and movement direction is by Mecnun Giasar (Majnoon), while the art direction is by NMR.
