Brussels: The European Union is regarding to bring control over the use of artificial intelligence. Parliament on Wednesday released a bill to regulate generative artificial intelligence platforms such as Chat GPT. In a vote on the draft, 499 voted in favor and 28 once morest.

When the law comes into effect, it will become the world’s first law to regulate artificial intelligence technology. All important civil rights and consumer protection committees have voted in favor of the draft legislation to regulate artificial intelligence. The draft is an attempt to keep the technology under control across the EU while leaving room for innovation.

It is also estimated that this move by the European Union, which aims to protect citizens from the dangers of technology, may lead to disputes with many other countries. The use of technology in biometric surveillance will be prohibited. The crucial decision comes in the context of the increasing number of people’s identification, images and misuse. But such technologies might be useful in crime-fighting, counter-terrorism intelligence and the search for missing children.

Microsoft and IBM, meanwhile, welcomed the latest move by EU lawmakers, but are waiting for further revisions to the proposed legislation. Once the law comes into force, all countries under the European Union will be obliged to comply with it.
