The Ping County Fire Department stated that at 19:19 on the 25th, it received a report from Kaohsiung City 119 that there was a mountain accident at 1.75K, Beidawu Mountain Trail, Taiwu Township. A total of 11 disaster relief vehicles were dispatched, with 21 firefighters and 11 volunteers. Lin Shibin, deputy head of the Second Brigade, led the team to search and rescue. At 22:17, the rescuers arrived at the accident site and confirmed the condition of his wife. After arriving at the scene, the rescuers set up ropes and cut down to start the search and rescue, but the search failed.
