World Champion Remco Evenepoel made up time on the overall leader Andreas Leknessund on the eighth stage of the Giro d’Italia and is only eight seconds behind the Norwegian. However, on the 207 km long and mountainous section from Terni to Fossombrone, the Belgian lost 14 seconds to what is probably his closest competitor, Primoz Roglic from Slovenia.
