An evening of jazz singing with the well-known Swiss jazz teacher and singer Anna Gosteli and her students, piano accompaniment with the American jazz teacher-pianist Sam Hylton and piano teacher Ellen Kaufmann, both from the Munich University of Music, will take place on Friday 29 March at 20.00, at the Cultural Center of Aegis “Alekos Megaris”. The program also includes a classical piano recital.
Sam Hylton
Ellen Kaufmann is a classical pianist and professor at the University of Music and Theater in Munich. Together with her American colleague Sam Hylton, jazz pianist, she has been organizing classical and jazz piano workshops since 2016.
At the event you will enjoy a “colorful” program of jazz singing and piano (classical & jazz), which will be created jointly by students and teachers.
Ellen Kaufman
The concert will be “opened” by Anna Gosteli’s students (jazz vocals) accompanied by Sam Hylton. This will be followed by classical piano pieces by student Lion Hansmaier (Mozart, Brahms) and German teacher Ellen Kaufmann (Mozart Sonata in E flat major).
After a short break, jazz piano pieces will be played by the students of Sam Hylton.
The finale will be given by Anna Gosteli and Sam Hylton in a joint or solo performance.
