The Everton club has had 10 points deducted from the English league standings for breaching financial rules, the Premier League, organizer of the competition, announced on Friday.
In March, the English league referred Everton to an independent commission for alleged violation of its profitability and viability rules. The club, 14th in the standings before this decision, announced its intention to appeal the sanction.
