On Sunday evening it became known that the Salzburg Festival was releasing the entire Jedermann team from the contractual agreement for 2024 – via mass email to around 50 people involved in the production. The excitement was particularly great for director Michael Sturminger and Everyman actor Michael Maertens. There was no official statement from the festival management following this was a unique case in festival history.
