Evil Dead: The Game, which was only released in May, has received a major new update. The focus is on fresh content inspired by “Army of Darkness”.
Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have released the new update “Army of Darkness” for the multiplayer action title Evil Dead: The Game released. The co-op PvE and PvP title gets fresh content.
The focus is on a new map featuring Castle Kandar, the location of the classic “Army of Darkness”. There are also two new weapons, new premium cosmetic items, and a new single-player exploration mode. The map, weapons and mode are available free of charge for all full game owners on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Evil Dead fans should recognize the numerous locations on the Army of Darkness map, most notably Kandar Castle, which has been recreated in minute detail. Other locations include the famous Windmill, Arthurian Outpost, Fort Gort and the dungeon of Castle Kandar, which housed the Necronomicon during the attempted siege by the Army of Darkness.
The two weapons mentioned are on the one hand the mace, which should turn out to be a powerful melee weapon, and the explosive crossbow, which only reloads slowly, but triggers a huge explosion.
In the new exploration mode, you can explore Castle Kandar as well as the other maps of the game on your own. You’re free to roam the sprawling locations and explore the land while honing your killing skills against roaming Death Knights.
The paid cosmetic items consist of two new Ash outfits from Army of Darkness: the Ash Williams S-Mart Staff Outfit and the Ash Williams Gallant Knight Outfit. The Medieval Bundle is also available and includes new outfits for Lord Arthur and Henry the Red, and a gold outfit for Evil Ash and his minions. The Ash S-Mart Staff Outfit and Gallant Knight Outfit are available now for $2.99 each. The Medieval Bundle is available for $7.99 and is also included in Evil Dead: The Game Season Pass 1.
