Malappuram: A man who returned following his Kappa term was arrested once more in the case of assaulting the police. Malappuram Kutippuram Police arrested Ashraf (44), a resident of Perashannoor, Kutippuram. The accused, who was deported by the police for a year, returned to the country yesterday following serving the term. The Kuttipuram SI and his team reached the spot following being informed by the locals that he was openly drinking in Edachal area. He was then taken into custody and attacked the policemen when they tried to put him in the jeep. The police were injured in the attack.
