Ex-pole vaulter Tim Lobinger dies after a long battle with cancer

The former German pole vaulter Tim Lobinger is dead. At the age of 50, the former world-class athlete succumbed to his severe cancer, reports the Bild newspaper and RTL, citing the Rhinelander’s family. Lobinger died in Munich, “fell asleep peacefully in a small circle”.
