Major General Osama El-Qadi, Governor of Minya, said that the Directorate of Health continues to implement the work of the presidential initiative to care for the health of the mother and fetus, by providing free medical and treatment services to women in all governorate centers, which was launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in the interest of the safety and health of Egyptian women.
Dr. Mohamed Nadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Minya, explained that health services were provided to 3,152 pregnant women during the month of December, as part of the activities of the Presidential Initiative for maternal and fetal health, pointing out that 77,298 pregnant women were examined since the beginning of the initiative in all centers Governorate.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Khalil, Director of the Basic Care Department and Coordinator of Presidential Initiatives in Minya Governorate, explained that the initiative aims to examine pregnant women from the first day of pregnancy until birth, with the aim of early detection of many diseases, the most important of which are hepatitis B virus “syphilis and human immunodeficiency virus.” In addition to checking the pressure and taking physical measurements of weight, height and blood sugar, in order to prevent the transmission of diseases from the mother to the fetus, adding that the initiative is being carried out in 260 health units and medical centers in all health departments at the level of Minya Governorate through trained medical teams, taking All necessary preventive and precautionary measures and infection control methods are followed.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Minya confirmed that the Health Directorate continues to implement the work of the presidential initiative to discover and treat malnutrition diseases, within the initiative of 100 million health, launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, where 63,494 students were examined during last December from Primary school students in the governorate, where the initiative aims to conduct a medical survey and detect obesity, dwarfism and anemia for primary school students, which was launched since October 17 last in coordination with the Health Insurance and the Directorate of Education in Minya.
