The Semlalia Faculty of Sciences of Marrakech (FSSM) under the Cadi Ayyad University (UCA) has announced the launch of the new Excellence sector “Analysis, Metrology and Quality” (AMQ) from the academic year 2023- 2024.
The launch of this sector is part of the implementation of the National Plan to Accelerate the Transformation of the Esri Ecosystem (Esri Pact 2030), in particular its first strategic axis “Academic and scientific excellence” , says a press release from this higher education institution.
This initiative responds to the growing needs of several economic sectors of the country, by training highly qualified graduates, ready to meet the complex challenges of these sectors, explains the press release.
The “AMQ” Excellence stream aims to provide students with cutting-edge training and varied expertise, ranging from mastery of standards and regulations to the art of precise and reproducible measurement, as well as skills in insurance and in quality control.
The “AMQ” training adopts an innovative learner-centred approach to teaching while the lessons will be provided by a team of experienced university professors and by experts in the socio-economic sector, thus guaranteeing a relevant and anchored training in the real needs of the world of work.
The winners of “AMQ” will be ready to occupy key positions in diversified sectors such as agri-food, energies, health, chemistry, environment, analysis and research laboratories, as well as in the activities scientists and industrialists in metrology, underlines the same press release.
They will also be equipped with the necessary skills to tackle crucial responsibilities including accreditation, certification, standards, metrology tie-in, maintenance and many other areas.
The press release wishes to inform that this course of excellence is open to students holding a Deug in chemical, physical or biological sciences (Bac + 2 from open access establishments), from the academic year 2023-2024. (1st promotion).
It will be extended through Masters programs of excellence (Bac+5), thus opening a continuous path for the professional development of the laureates.
