Getting a 1-1 draw at YB-Schreck Villarreal is certainly not a shame, but Juventus Turin tried in the final stages of the Champions League round of 16 first leg to force victory with all means. Some Turiners went overboard and attacked the Villarreal players with overly hard tackles.
Just a minute after a rude attack from Arthur, Juve’s midfield director Adrien Rabiot ruthlessly knocked opponent Samu Chukwueze off his feet. Referee Daniel Siebert only drew a yellow card for this bad kick, and the VAR did not rate the foul as red-worthy either.
“Then I’ll end up in jail for three months”
Something that caused a great deal of incomprehension in the Volketswil television studio. “If I do that with you in the Bahnhofstrasse, I’ll end up in jail for three months,” commented expert legend Marcel Reif on the TV channel blue and really got into a rage when evaluating the scene.
