Exciting Arab confrontations in the AFC Champions League 2 draw

The draw placed Al-Hussein, the Jordanian Professional League title holder, in Group Four, while Al-Wehdat, the Jordan Cup champion, was placed in Group Three.

Al-Hussein was in the group that included Shabab Al-Ahli of the Emirates, Nasaf of Uzbekistan, and Kuwait SC of Kuwait, while Al-Wehdat was in the group alongside Sepahan Isfahan of Iran, Sharjah of the Emirates, and Istiklol of Tajikistan.

Below is the draw for the AFC Champions League 2, West Zone:

The first group: Al Wakra (Qatar), Tractor (Iran), Mohun Bagan Super Giant (India), Ravshan (Tajikistan)

Group Two: Cooperation (Saudi Arabia), Air Force (Iraq), Al-Khalidiya (Bahrain), Al-Tin Asir (Tajikistan)

Group 3: Sepahan (Iran), Sharjah (UAE), Esteghlal (Tajikistan), Al-Wahdat (Jordan)

Group 4: Shabab Al Ahli (UAE), Nasaf (Uzbekistan), Al Hussein (Jordan), Kuwait (Kuwait)

The new tournament includes 32 clubs, distributed into 8 groups (4 groups in the western region of the continent and 4 groups in the east), and each group consists of 4 clubs.

The group stage matches will be held in a two-stage split league system, from September 17 to December 5.

According to the tournament system, the first two teams from each group qualify for the round of 16, which will be held in February 2025.

This will be followed by the quarter-finals in March 2025 and the semi-finals in April 2025, before the tournament concludes with a single-match final on 17 May 2025.
