Animation series “Family Guy”
With the Ukrainian crisis at the forefront of global news platforms, the animated series Family Guy “Family Guy” returned to the fore again, due to its shocking expectations about the course of the crisis between the two arch-neighbours.
And according to the British newspaper, The Independent, the audience drew attention to a scene in the American series predicting the strategy of Russian President Vladimir Putin to deal with the crisis.
And the site stated, that the position of “Putin”, who was recently accused of failing to calm the situation with Ukraine, is very similar to the Spies Reminiscent of Us episode in the eighth season of “Family Guy”.
In the episode of the series, the Russian president terrorizes those around him by brandishing a weapon in hostile behavior, but fortunately for everyone he starts using the weapon only as an accessory.
In one of the scenes in the episode, the Russian president threatens to use a machine gun, and while those around him gasp in fear, it turns out that it is a fake pistol and the president uses it as a cigarette lighter.
Fans of the series shared the previous scene under a sarcastic comment: “Putin’s strategy in Ukraine,” calling on people not to worry.
However, the political situation is escalating, after the British Prime Minister commented that the Russian position is currently not encouraging.
