After a long wait and the accompanying controversy over the number of episodes, the series “Finally” was launched in a story that may seem like a love story, but it is much further than that.
After escaping from one of them who was chasing her, Khayal (Nadine Nassib Njeim) was able to get rid of him and sneak into her house and throw the drugs in the bathroom chair, then head to Beirut, where she throws herself off the rock of Raouche in order to end her life, as Yaqoot (Qusai Khouli), who just left, watches her. From prison, he throws himself behind her to save her from drowning, and a love relationship develops between them, which culminates in engagement a year later.
As for the case of Nadine Njeim, with the character of Khayal, it tells us about a mysterious young woman who is haunted by a dark past that she avoids and ignores, which was not revealed in the first two episodes of the series, which is shown on the “Witness” platform. However, she introduced us to the woman who raised her (Wafaa Tarabay) after her real mother left her in a box where she threw her as an infant among the rubbish.
As for the story of the able Mona Wasef, she holds a grudge against Khayal, so she does not approach her and avoids meeting with her after she categorically refused her son Yaqoot’s engagement to her because she does not have identification papers, but she acquiesces in the end and agrees to attend her son’s engagement party on the roof of the dilapidated building in which she, her son, and her two daughters live.
The series is not devoid of traditional quarrels between the people of the same neighborhood, how is it not that Yaqoot, a Syrian, is linked to Khayal, whom Wadih is in love with, the owner of the shops that Yaqoot and his relatives rent in the neighborhood, so he decides to make life difficult for them, hoping that he will heal his anger because Khayal rejected him for Yaqoot’s sake. Every now and then.
The series touches on the issues of the Lebanese economy and the exchange rate of the dollar, and discusses the conditions of the Lebanese population in these conditions.
The second episode ends with the hijacking of the bus rented by Khayal and her friend (Anjou Rayhan) and Yaqoot’s sister and his relative to celebrate her engagement in nature, where they held a fun barbecue party, but Yaqoot’s sister was shot when she tried to escape with Khayal, so who do you see doing that? Wadih from the neighborhood or the man from Khayal’s past who used to send her text messages threatening to find her wherever she hid…
