In 2023, the E3 exhibition is not to be expected. Once it was quite a popular event that attracted a lot of attention.
Recently they announced the cancellation of E3 2023. Many major publishers have reconsidered the approach to the presentation of projects, for example, they arrange their own online shows.
Digital Foundry decided to remember how the E3 exhibition was held before, they opened a “time capsule”. Published footage from E3 2002.
They noted that the video contains frames that have not been previously published (60 FPS is declared).
At 7:14, Silent Hill 3 appears, and at 26:58, you can see the DOOM 3 logo (there is also gameplay footage). At 36:48 Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic appears, and at 58:16 Tomb Raider the Angel of Darkness. GTA 3, Devil May Cry 2 and many other games also found a place at E3 2002.
