Exoskeleton, AI, TMS… Three start-ups join the “health-prevention” accelerator

Three new start-ups are joining the “health-prevention in the construction industry” accelerator and now benefit from the support of the professional organization for the prevention of building and public works (OPPBTP), the CCCA-BTP association, the group of Pro BTP social protection and the Excellence SMA foundation. They join 71 start-ups already involved in the ecosystem of Impulse Partners, a strategy consulting firm that develops start-up accelerators.

The seventeenth edition of the start-up selection focused on musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). About forty construction and prevention professionals selected these young shoots among those who presented their pitch in May 2023. They were evaluated on the basis of five criteria (the innovative nature of their technology or service; the accessibility of the target market; the team whose skills and expertise are mobilized, as well as the ability to carry out the project; the reliability of the business model and the adequacy of the start-up with the health and prevention themes of the accelerator).

Who caught the jury’s attention?

The companies Axomove, Japet and Doado were able to convince the jury. The Japet company offers an active “made in France” exoskeleton to prevent back pain and rehabilitation. This external mechanical device reduces the impact of handling loads, repetitive tasks and awkward postures on the spine. The start-up Axomove also seeks to prevent and rehabilitate MSDs through movement. To do this, it has developed an application that allows remote support via video sessions of personalized exercises. Doado has also created an application, this time with artificial intelligence. The latter offers tailor-made video programs for muscle strengthening and stretching, and offers information to fight against MSDs.

These three companies will benefit from the expertise and feedback from the accelerator’s partners. These great actors”undertake to facilitate exchanges and the visibility of start-ups with their member companies, in particular through their websites, their social networks and their respective media, as well as during events at which they are likely to participate“, indicates the OPPBTP in a press release.
