Exotic recall: the Lamborghini Countach are recalled for a glass that could fly off

On October 10, Lamborghini received a notification from an owner in Qatar who noticed that one of the four glass panels that cover the Countach’s engine had come off when the car was running.

According to Lamborghini’s internal investigation, a problem with the supplier of the part was found to be at fault. Specifically, the Italian firm concluded that the failure resided in a defect in the sealing that the supplier applied to the glass panels, which might cause them to detach and fly out of the car.

A situation that certainly no one would want to experience in a car that is capable of reaching 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 356 km/h.

The thing is, on November 10, Lamborghini’s Product Safety Committee voted to launch a proactive recall in all global markets for the Countach. Call that, according to the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the United States) report, affects nine owners in that country, whose dealers will receive the details of said review on January 9, 2023.
