A Archyde.com poll showed that the Turkish Central Bank may keep interest rates next week at 8.5% as the country prepares for the second round of the presidential elections next Sunday.

At the last meeting before the May 14 elections, the Central Bank of Turkey kept interest rates unchanged at 8.5%.

The Central Bank cut interest rates by 50 basis points in February to stimulate the economy following the earthquakes that hit the country.
