No time? blue News summarizes for you

The 57. Montreux Jazz Festival will take place from June 30 to July 15, 2023. The good news for all those music fans who can’t make the pilgrimage to Lake Geneva this time: blue Music will broadcast the best live concerts. Tonight Buddy Guy will be on stage first, followed by Joe Bonamassa. The live stream starts at 9 p.m.

“You’ll be a legend before you’re 25,” BB King prophesied to him as a teenager.

30 years later, Joe Bonamassa is considered to be the most famous guitarist in the world. His sound sounds like he’s been listening pretty closely to the qualities that shaped his idols’ guitar playing.

Many fans even see him as the successor to Eric Clapton. Bonamassa is also one of the few blues musicians who still manage to fill large halls and stadiums.

Buddy Guy – a living legend of Chicago blues

Buddy Guy is considered a legend of Chicago blues. However, its story begins in Louisiana. The guitarist was born in 1936 on a plantation 100 miles from New Orleans.

Many of his fans see him as Eric Clapton’s successor: Joe Bonamassa.

He was just seven years old when he built his first guitar, using two strings attached to a piece of wood and held together with his mother’s bobby pins.

In 1957 he moved to Chicago and took part in numerous sessions for Chess Records alongside Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters. Known for his guitar style, he was subsequently voted into the league of the 25 greatest players of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.
