Laliana was a member of different oriental dance companies before creating her own in 2022. Creative in nature, she has been developing her own shows since she was 18 and has been teaching oriental dance since she was 20. Today, she travels throughout France and abroad to perform on stage and is one of the best oriental dancers in France.
Oriental dance, which Laliana mainly teaches, originates from Egypt and is called “Raqs Sharki” in Arabic. This style was born in Egyptian cabarets in the 1950s.
It was created from traditional Egyptian dances and Western classical dance and is characterized by numerous pelvic and torso movements as well as ample and graceful arm and leg movements. All with full use of space.
